NEW STUDENTS
Admission to Yvonne Learning Center (YLC) is open to all students entering pre-K through 12th grade. No student is denied admission based on race, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, disability or previous academic performance.
Students performing significantly below grade level at the time of registration will be admitted on academic probation with the understanding that YLC may require them to participate in individual or small group tutoring after regular school hours.
Once you have made the decision to enroll your child (or children) in YLC, you will need to do the following to complete the registration process:
- Complete and sign the appropriate application form, available at the YLC office. NOTE: The form should be signed by the person responsible for payment of tuition and fees. If two people are equally responsible, both should sign.
- Mail or bring the items below to the YLC admissions office:
- Completed and signed YLC application
- Completed and signed YLC emergency contact form
- Copy of student’s birth certificate
- Copy of student’s social security card
- Florida Certificate of Immunization form (DH 680)
- Student Health Examination form (DH 3040)
- Student transcript, withdrawal form and most recent report card from previous school showing satisfactory contact (does not apply to students entering pre-school or kindergarten)
- Standardized test scores
- Copy of IEP (if applicable)
- Payment of non-refundable $150 registration fee
- Payment of non-refundable $50 diagnostic testing fee
3. Schedule an admissions interview with YLC administrative staff. Both students and parents/guardians participate in the interview.
4. Schedule diagnostic testing through YLC and complete the testing process.
5. Attend parent orientation on the scheduled date.
